
Sharon Richner Assistant Vice President, Treasury Services
Sharon is an assistant vice president in Treasury Services, responsible for leading the compliance, risk, and vendor management functions. Her team enables the growing Treasury retail operations staff to effectively serve the public while complying with applicable policies and regulations.
Her career at the Minneapolis Fed began in the Information Technology department, where she worked in application development, financial analysis, and technology procurement. She was promoted to assistant vice president of the Program Assurance Function, where she was dedicated to successful delivery of technology programs and projects before moving to Treasury Services in 2023.
In addition to her work in IT and Treasury, she has been deeply committed to formal and informal mentoring, and was a recipient of the 2023 Susan K. Rossbach Mentoring Award.
Sharon has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and she holds credentials from the Project Management Institute.
