Deb Poteet is the president and founder of Poteet Construction, a company she established in 1987. Under her leadership, Poteet Construction has become a regional leader in providing ATSSA-certified traffic control services for highway, urban, federal, and special event projects across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.

In addition to comprehensive traffic control services, the company specializes in structural concrete, concrete and steel barrier installation, guardrail installation, and permanent signing projects.

Poteet currently serves on the boards of the Missoula County Airport Authority and the Farmers Union Insurance of Montana, and previously served on the boards of the Montana Contractors Association, the Montana State Workforce Innovation Board, and the Missoula Economic Partnership.

Poteet holds a degree in geography and land use planning from the University of Montana and completed a three-year heavy equipment training program through Operating Engineers.
