Minneapolis Fed names Bosshard-Blackey as AVP in Legal

Elizabeth Bosshard-Blackey was appointed assistant vice president and assistant general counsel in the Legal Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Bosshard-Blackey was previously a senior attorney, providing legal advice and counsel with particular emphasis on employment law. In her new role, she will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Legal Division, including attorneys and analytical staff.

Before joining the Bank in 2022, Bosshard-Blackey worked for a large national law firm and spent several years as in-house counsel for a legal technology company.

Bosshard-Blackey holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Vermont, an M.Sc. in international political economy from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.


The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System, the nation’s central bank. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is responsible for the Ninth Federal Reserve District, which includes Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous banking organizations, and provides a variety of payments services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
