July 1, 1996

Facts about the survey and respondents

In May, the Minneapolis Fed surveyed 774 Ninth District banks with assets less than $150 million and which are not part of a banking organization with assets in excess of $150 million; 400 banks or 52 percent responded.

To improve our ability to analyze the survey results, the responses are coupled with the banking data in the Bank Directory as well as selected demographic data.
