Timothy Devaney Senior Vice President and General Auditor

Tim Devaney is senior vice president and general auditor. In this role, he leads the Bank’s internal audit department, which is charged with evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. Tim reports to the Minneapolis Board of Directors’ Audit Committee.

Prior to becoming general auditor in 2024, Tim was vice president and operations officer of the Federal Reserve System’s Financial Support Office, where he was responsible for the national accounting business operations centers for the entire Federal Reserve System.

Tim joined the Bank in 1984 and has held several financial management, analytic, and leadership roles at the Minneapolis Fed and across the System.

Tim holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA with a concentration in accounting from the University of St. Thomas. He serves on the Minnesota Council on Economic Education’s board of directors.
