Patience Ferguson is the senior vice president of Human Resources and Inclusion for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. An inspirational and courageous leader, she strives to promote an inclusive workplace environment designed to achieve optimal results.

She leads all human resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion practices for the Bank. In addition, she oversees the Bank’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI).

Patience joined the Bank in July 2022.

Most recently, she was the chief human resources officer for the City of Minneapolis. In that role she led and developed strategies in the areas of talent acquisition and development; workforce planning; labor relations; diversity, equity, and inclusion; total rewards; and employee engagement.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of Minnesota.

Patience is a governing body co-chair for the CHRO Executive Summit and a board member and vice chair of the Diversity, Inclusion and Global Committee for the YMCA of the North.

She is also the recipient of the Diversity in Business Award and the Women in Business Award from the Twin Cities Business Journal.
