Lukas Nord is a junior scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He received a B.Sc. in economics from the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel, an M.Sc in money and finance from Goethe University Frankfurt, and a Ph.D. in economics from the European University Institute. His work focuses on how micro-level heterogeneity and frictions in goods and labor markets affect macro outcomes. For his research, Lukas was awarded the 2023 Young Economist Prize from the European Central Bank. In 2024, he will begin an assistant professorship in the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Economics.
