Marsha Goetting is a professor and extension educator for Montana State University. In this position, Dr. Goetting travels throughout Montana presenting workshops on financial and estate planning topics. To date, she has held over 1,500 workshops, reaching almost 46,000 Montanans. She has published extensively on these subjects, targeting individuals and families. Dr. Goetting is a member of the Association for Financial Counseling and Education (AFCPE), American Association of Consumer & Family Sciences (AAFCS), National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS), and the Montana Gerontology Society.
Dr. Goetting is the recipient of the Financial Management, Continued Excellence, Florence Hall, and Distinguished Service awards from NEAFCS and the Jeanne M Priester and Impact 2000 awards from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture. She earned her BS in Home Economics, MS in Family Economics, and MS in Adult Education all from Kansas State University. She earned her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University. She also holds a Certified Financial Planner designation.
